That is why Heifer International has been working with small-scale family farmers across the USA. Farmers like Kerry, who along with her husband, joined the Heifer-sponsored Grass Roots Farmers' Cooperative in 2014. The Cooperative has supported more than 2,500 U.S. farming families to help build small-scale, sustainable produce and livestock businesses.
