Here's hoping you had an enjoyable and safe Fourth of July weekend. My family and I, like many millions of Americans, celebrated this holiday at home.

And while we would have preferred watching the fireworks by the water, it was a sacrifice we were more than willing to make to help protect our neighbor, community, and our country.

Our country is asking all of us to sacrifice right now — for YOUR country — wear a mask. If you can't wear a mask, what else can you do?

Too many Americans seem to have forgotten what’s at stake and what real patriotism means. This is a time, more than ever, we need to unite as a nation and do what’s best for our country — not just ourselves.

Taking on the issues of our time can’t be done unless our nation is united. Americans must embrace making sacrifices. That’s why I’m fighting to bring unquestioned patriotism and leadership back to Washington.
