With their Big, Ugly Bill, Republicans have created a health care crisis.
Medicaid has been slashed, Medicare has been targeted, hospitals and
health centers are closing, and health care premiums are about to double.

And now, Republicans in Congress have shut down the government instead of
even negotiating with Democrats. They would rather make public servants
work without pay and let premiums double on American families than reach a
bipartisan funding agreement. This is all to fund tax breaks for their
billionaire besties and pay for separating families, committing human
rights abuses, and terrifying hardworking immigrants—people essential to
our care workforce, our economy, and our future.
