For decades, the governorship has flipped parties every eight years — and there’s a chance that history could repeat itself.
Last week, a deeply connected Republican candidate jumped into the race, and he’ll be backed by the same powerful interests that put corporate profits over New Mexicans, our land, and our future.
He’s already aligning himself with national Republicans and deep-pocketed special interest groups who see New Mexico as their next political target, and they’re ready to pour in whatever money it takes to turn our state red.
Deb has never had personal wealth to put into this campaign. Instead, and more importantly, what she does have is you and this strong people-powered team that’s committed to keeping New Mexico moving forward in a positive direction.
But right now, our fundraising is trailing behind, and we can’t afford to let our opponent get ahead — especially knowing what’s at stake.
If history repeats itself and the 8-year pattern continues, our state could turn red, and we’d lose all of the progress we’ve worked so hard to build.
