Let’s be clear: Donald Trump is trying to turn our country into his personal kingdom.
He’s corrupting our military to invade Democratic cities. He’s corrupting legal authority with this jacked-up, sideways Supreme Court and the knucklehead judges he keeps appointing. He’s bending every lever of government to serve one man — himself.
But there’s one thing he can’t touch: He can’t corrupt moral authority. That belongs to us. To the people. To every single one of you who marched, chanted, and stood tall at the No Kings protests to say: we will not bow.
As your District Attorney, I’ve always tried to lead with morality. But I can’t continue providing that kind of leadership for Philadelphia in the face of Trump’s blatant corruption without steadfast support.
