I’ve watched in horror as federal agents under the direction of DHS Secretary Kristi Noem have escalated their activity in immigrant communities. In the process, they have wrongfully detained U.S. citizens, members of the press, and protesters who were peacefully exercising their first amendment rights.
You and I know the truth: Kristi Noem isn’t interested in keeping our communities safe. She’s committed to propping up Donald Trump’s racist and unlawful attacks on Latino, Black, and immigrant families.

Here in CA-25, we rely on immigrant workers to grow and harvest the food that feeds Americans everywhere. Our economy and our country are built from the labor of immigrants, and they do not deserve to be indiscriminately terrorized by masked agents who seem not to care about their true legal status.

The son of hardworking farmworkers, Dr. Ruiz grew up in Coachella, CA and learned at an early age that the key to attaining the American Dream is hard work and a great education. In the summer of 1990, Raul walked in the desert heat from business to business in the Coachella Valley asking them to invest in their community by contributing to his education. With each investment for college, he made a promise to come back home and serve his community as a physician. In 2012, he decided to take his service to the community to the next level by running for Congress. Dr. Ruiz needs our help to continue fighting for us in Congress.
