My name is Winsome Earle-Sears, and if you don’t mind, I’d like to tell you a

Fellow American,

My name is Winsome Earle-Sears, and if you don’t mind, I’d like to tell you a
little about myself.I’m not your typical politician, and I never will be. This
is my story.

In 2021, I won the General Election for Lieutenant Governor of Virginia by
less than 60,000 votes. In doing so, I became the first black woman to hold
this office—but that’s not why I ran. I ran to effect real change and instill
common-sense conservative leadership. That’s exactly what we have done and will
continue to do.

Before becoming the 2nd in command in Virginia, I beat a 20-year incumbent in
2001 to become the first Republican to win a seat in a majority black district
in the Virginia House of Delegates since 1865. In the General Assembly, I
focused on getting results for my constituents.

Prior to my career in politics, I had the distinct honor of serving as an
electrician in the United States Marine Corps. It was here that I learned to be
a leader—to improvise, adapt, and overcome. Looking back, my time in the
Marines had a significant impact on who I am today, and for that, I’m ever
grateful.

Looking even further back, when I was just 6 years old, my family and I came
to the United States from Jamaica. We arrived in a new land with no money and
different accents, but we made it work and got through the struggles -only in
America is something like this even possible.

<[link removed]>

Of course, none of this would have been possible without my husband, Terence,
and my amazing daughters. Throughout all of this, they have been my rock, and I
owe them everything - they have kept me grounded, confident, and optimistic for
the future.

<[link removed]>

As you can see, I’ve lived a full life. There have been highs, lows, and
everything in between, but I don’t regret a single thing.

I maintain, without a shadow of a doubt, that my story is only possible in
America. I am the second most powerful person in the former capital of the
Confederacy, and I am a black female.

I am the epitome of the boundless opportunity and freedom that can only be
found in America.

But Fellow American, my story is far from over.

I’m running for Governor not only to break records but also to continue
spreading my conservative message – to show the world that a black, female,
immigrant – and anyone else for that matter – can go from absolutely nothing to
the highest levels of American politics.

Now, the support I have received for my campaign thus far has been amazing,
but the reality is that if we’re going to have a shot at winning this thing,
then we must be well-funded.

So, after all you’ve learned about me today, can you take just a second to
chip in to support my campaign, even if it’s just a few bucks? This road ahead
will be difficult, but this is nothing I haven’t experienced before - and it
would be an honor to have you by my side, Fellow American.
