John, America was built as a democracy. Our promise to our people has always been to elect leaders who earn the most support from the voters. 

But President Trump, Republican Governors, and Republicans in Washington are doing everything they can to rig the system, to inoculate themselves from the consequences of their unpopular actions. From DOGE, to deploying the military to American cities,  to massive cuts to health care, from closing most of the Department of Education, they know they're failing the American people. Right now, we're watching as GOP-controlled states, like Texas, Missouri, and now North Carolina, approve extremely gerrymandered congressional maps. And other states, like Indiana, Florida, and Utah, are looking to follow suit. We cannot let them get away with this.
