Everywhere I go when I travel across PA, families tell me they’re scraping by. I want them to know: My team and I have their backs.

As part of my work on the Senate Agriculture Committee, I’m doing everything I can to make sure our farmers have the resources they need so they can put food on folks' tables across our state and our country.

So as we're moving through harvest season, I wanted to drop you a line about what I've been up to lately:👇

🛑 Stopping Trump’s *Illegal* USDA Cuts → Trump’s team is gutting billions in funding Congress already approved from farm and food programs, and it even killed one of the programs that was helping keep small farms afloat. So I joined a multi-state lawsuit against the Trump administration to fight back against these reckless cuts.

🌾 Boosting Organic Science & Research Investment → Our organic farmers are leading the way, so I introduced a bill to boost USDA research and university funding so they can keep on the cutting edge of this growing industry.

🥚 Requiring Honest Egg Labels → I reintroduced this bipartisan bill to make sure egg “alternatives” don’t trick shoppers or shortchange real egg farmers – our commonwealth is one of the leading egg-producing states!

🍄 Protecting Mushroom Farmers → PA's the mushroom capital of the world. It’s only fair our farmers get the same crop insurance as everyone else. My bill kicks off that process.

🥪 Helping Our Kids Get Healthy Meals → I've introduced bills directing the USDA to wipe out all school meal debt, restore non-discrimination protections so every student can get a school meal, and add milk options in school lunches.

At the end of the day, John, supporting our farmers and feeding our kids isn’t a 🔴 or 🔵 issue.

So in the face of Big Ag and an administration hell-bent on screwing over the little guy, you bet I'm going to keep working to tackle food insecurity and fight for a Farm Bill and policies that support our small farmers and rural communities.
