John,
Donald Trump keeps claiming his second-term economy means “jobs, jobs, jobs.” But our new analysis proves the opposite. His economic policies are destroying jobs for Latino workers while handing more tax breaks to billionaires and corporations.
Job growth in Latino-heavy industries has collapsed by 35% under Trump compared to the same period last year under President Biden.[1] Nearly 300,000 jobs have vanished in just eight months, especially in construction, manufacturing, and health services―industries that sustain Latino families and power local economies.
Under Biden, these sectors expanded and created good-paying jobs. Under Trump, they are shrinking. His tax cuts for billionaires and service cuts for families, compounded by rising prices on working families, have created chaos instead of growth. While the ultra-rich thrive, Latino workers are losing paychecks, losing stability, and losing ground.
We are fighting back by getting the truth out in Spanish-language press that has already reached nearly 300 million people through Telemundo, La Opinión, Univision, and CNN en Español. Our message is clear and powerful: Trump’s billionaire-first agenda is devastating Latino workers, and we will not stay silent.
Your support will help us continue exposing Trump’s economic lies, expand our Spanish-language outreach, and defend Latino workers who are being targeted and left behind. Can you donate $10, $25, or whatever you can afford right now to power this critical work?
Trump’s damage is not done exclusively through his fiscal policies. His renewed ICE raids are destroying communities and driving more people out of work. In California alone, Latino employment dropped 5.6% in a single month after federal immigration raids began, meaning more than 360,000 Latino workers lost their livelihoods overnight. Families are afraid to go to work. Businesses are losing employees. This is what Trump calls “success.”
Latino workers have always been critical to the backbone of America’s economy. They are building our homes, teaching our children, caring for our loved ones, and keeping our hospitals running among other important work. But Trump’s policies are built on greed and cruelty. He rewarded his billionaire donors and punished working families. His ICE raids, tax-and-service cuts, and general unpredictability are pushing Latino workers into economic insecurity and creating a pervasive fear.
Every lost job is a family that cannot pay rent. Every raid is a child afraid a parent will not come home. Every corporate tax cut is another billionaire pocketing what working families have earned. That is Trump’s economy and society.
We can stop this, but we have to act now. ATF’s economic research, public education, and bilingual outreach are cutting through Trump’s misinformation and exposing his failure. With your donation, we can reach even more voters before he and his allies rewrite the narrative again.
Please donate today to fund this urgent fight for truth, economic justice, and dignity for Latino workers. Your contribution helps us push back against Trump’s billionaire-first agenda and keep our communities informed and empowered.
