I've been getting this question a lot

Hi John,

When people ask me why I’m running for the U.S. Senate, my answer always comes back to one thing: taking action when it matters most.

After serving overseas, I came home determined to fix the broken politics that put lives at risk and left Washington paralyzed by caution and complacency. I learned firsthand what happens when leaders hesitate instead of acting with courage and conviction.

That’s why I ran for Congress. Not because it was easy, but because Massachusetts families deserved better than the same old politics and failed leadership.

Ten years later, I’m running for Senate for the same reason: our country is in crisis, and the urgency of this moment demands change — not complacency.

Washington is filled with career politicians who have spent decades in office while Donald Trump and his MAGA allies tear down our democracy, weaponize government, and turn Americans against one another at a breakneck speed. Meanwhile, too many Democrats are standing still.

I'm not afraid to call out our party's weaknesses, John. It’s time for a new generation of leaders, people who won’t accept “good enough” when families are hurting, who will meet this moment with courage, urgency, and a plan for the future.

That’s why I’m running for Senate:

To stand up to Trump and his enablers, to hold this administration accountable, and to fight for veterans waiting for care, families struggling to pay the bills, and kids growing up in a country that should not only inspire them to dream big, but set them up to make those dreams a reality.

I’ve never been afraid to challenge the status quo, whether it was in the Marines, in Congress, or in my own party. Everybody playing nice and waiting their turn is how we've ended up where we are today. This isn’t a time for caution. It’s a time for change.

This is my why, John. And I’d be honored to have you by my side in this fight.

Can I count on you to make a contribution today and help power this campaign for bold, new leadership forward?
