This is serious cause for alarm, friend.
The ultra-conservative Supreme Court is taking up a case that could completely upend our hard-earned progress on protections for LGBTQ+ youth.
I’m proud to have authored Washington State’s ban on conversion therapy, setting a standard for dozens of states to enact similar protections in the years since.
But, this SCOTUS news makes it clear once again that our rights are under unprecedented attack: Hundreds of anti-LGBTQ+ bills have been introduced in state legislatures across the country, and a conservative group here in WA is working to gather signatures for two new anti-trans initiatives for 2026.
