John,
As baseball's World Series approaches, our Knock Tobacco Out of the Park campaign just scored another home run. Detroit's professional sports stadiums are going 100% tobacco-free – on and off the field!
The ordinance passed today by the Detroit City Council prohibits all tobacco use in these stadiums – including Comerica Park, home of the Tigers. No more players with cheeks full of chewing tobacco or lips full of dip or nicotine pouches for young fans to emulate.
With the addition of Detroit, 18 of 30 Major League Baseball stadiums will now be completely tobacco-free. |
Sports should support healthy and active lifestyles, not harmful and addictive products. Together, we can set the right example for our kids. Sincerely, |
