Dear John, 

Today, I held a debate in the UK Parliament against plans for mega-pylons in the Borders. 

These plans are deeply unpopular with local people and will cause huge damage to people's quality of life, scar our countryside, and destroy our environment. 

We are being inundated with applications for new energy infrastructure in the Borders - wind farms, solar farms, battery energy storage units, data centres, and these mega pylons.
