Friend,

Coming off the biggest anti-Trump protest of all time, we wanted the opinion that really mattered.

And no, we’re not talking about Trump’s. He already made it clear that his opinion is wanting to dump literal shit from an airplane on every American that exercised their First Amendment right. Classy, Mr. President.

The opinion we actually wanted was yours. The pro-democracy movement. Also known as the people who will be responsible for fighting off Donald Trump and getting America back on track. 

Here’s what you told us in yesterday’s survey:

65% of you attended a protest. Now that’s some serious turnout.

50% of you brought at least 1 friend. This is a really important number. And hey, we’re glad our side has decent friends to begin with. Trump’s best friend ended up being a serial pedophile.

A whopping 80% of you will attend the next No Kings protest. Why not shoot for ten million next time? 

There was a lot of greatness out there on Saturday, so we had to ask for specifics:

Dan in Iowa saw “2 Bald eagles fly over the courthouse during a rally, making everyone go crazy.” Ok, pretty hard to beat that. 

Chris in California really summed it up, saying his favorite thing was: “People with a unified purpose; one goal, protesting peacefully and legally.” Sounds a lot better than weirdos with broomsticks beating up cops while trying to kill the vice president.

There was also a lot to be proud of last weekend:

Katherine in Florida was most proud of “When nobody took this Republican heckler's bait, and we all just smiled and wished them a happy day.” Any guesses on what would’ve happened if this scenario was flipped? 

Linda in California was proud of “All of it! 7 million people with the same desire for positive change!” 7 million strong (and growing!) is definitely something to be proud of. 

And as with any event, there was room for improvement:

Melanie in California said, “More people to be engaged. More events more often. Monthly? Every 2 months? Keep the pressure up.” Gotta love the enthusiasm. We’re completely on board.

Barbara in Illinois wants to focus on: “More communication to people not currently engaged.” That’s what we’re here for ;)

And obviously, we HAD to ask about your favorite signs:


Richard in Arizona: “Balls for legislators”

Laurwulu in Iowa: “Trump sitting in a croc shoe captioned “there you have it folks a big croc of shit.”

Ellen in Colorado: “Does this ass make my country look fat?”

There you have it, democracy defenders. A whole lot accomplished, and even more to look forward to.
