John,
FEMA just canceled nearly $11 billion in disaster relief payments — money that was supposed to help states rebuild after floods, hurricanes, and wildfires.
Donald Trump and his Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem have made it clear they want to gut or even shut down this agency entirely. That means when the next major disaster strikes (and we all know it’s not a question of if but when), FEMA will be utterly unprepared.
This is the consequence of putting people who don’t believe in government in charge of governing. That’s why we’re fighting right now to take back the House in 2026, to stop the chaos, restore accountability, and make sure FEMA and every other critical agency actually works for the American people again.
Will you chip in today to help SEEC PAC elect leaders who will stand up to Trump, protect our communities, and defend disaster relief for those who need it most? [[link removed]]

SEEC Member Rep. Tim Kennedy (NY) has been leading the charge against these cuts. He put it best: “They are playing games with critical disaster relief dollars. The American people deserve a FEMA that honors its commitments, not one that hides shortfalls through accounting tricks and delayed help.”
He’s right. The American people deserve better than this kind of mismanagement and deception.
If you believe our government should help Americans in crisis — not abandon them — please, make a donation right now to help us fight back. [[link removed]]

Thanks to your help in 2024, SEEC PAC was able to re-elect over 95% of our pro-environment members to the U.S. House of Representatives — defying the odds on a night where Democrats lost seats. Now we are counting on you to help our SEEC members pass climate, clean energy and environmental justice policies in the 119th Congress while we continue fighting for a sustainable future. But if you'd like to receive fewer emails, we understand.
