Like we saw in Los Angeles earlier this year, militarization efforts are taking place in cities like Chicago and Portland to try to quiet our people and scare our movement into submission.
It won’t work.
Our communities are united in support of the immigrants who power this country and each other — and we see it every day. Neighbors are coming together to defend each other and expel hate from our communities, students are advocating for justice on behalf of their detained peers, and everyday heroes are stepping up to inform, engage, and support their communities.
People across the country are seeing costs go up. And the administration spends countless dollars on militarizing our communities instead of funding healthcare, education, and other resources we need to thrive.
For this to change, we need everyone on board.
