The government shutdown is hurting Staten Island and Southern Brooklyn.
Families are struggling to make rent, preparing for potential healthcare premiums to spike, and small businesses are losing customers. Meanwhile, Nicole Malliotakis hasn’t lifted a finger to try to end this crisis.
This is what happens when politicians put party loyalty before the people they were elected to serve. Instead of working to reopen the government, Malliotakis and her Republican colleagues are taking orders from Trump, leaving New Yorkers behind.
And when the White House is stealing tens of billions of dollars from investments, Malliotakis doesn’t care. She is fine with New Yorkers suffering as long as DC Republicans win.
We deserve better. We deserve leaders who show up, who listen, and who know how to negotiate with folks across party lines. That is why I am running for Congress — to bring real leadership back to our community.
But to win this race, we need resources to stay in the fight. MAGA Republicans are flooding this district with dark money and attack ads because they know we can beat them.
