[ A ]A post from Abdul that says 'Except a public option can’t deliver
healthcare to every Michigander. Medicare for All can.' Abdul is quoting a
post from Mallory McMorrow that says 'Every single Michigander should have
healthcare.' and features a video.
A Michigander asked one of our primary opponents if she supports Medicare
for All. Instead of giving a straight answer, she deflected, saying she
supports a public option.
She also used Donald Trump and RFK Jr. as an excuse for why she doesn’t
support Medicare for All.
With that same logic — that we shouldn’t pursue progress when bad people
are in power — we’d still be waiting for Social Security and Medicare.
That kind of triangulation is exactly what’s wrong with our
party, John.
Democrats shouldn’t run from bold ideas like Medicare for All. We should
fight for them.
We’re not going to dig ourselves out of this mess by electing more
politicians who talk in circles. That’s how we lose to Trumpism.
Let’s stop pretending the middle ground is where change happens.
People are hungry for a Democratic Party that inspires hope again — a
party that backs concrete values: Medicare for All. Taxing billionaires.
Refusing money from corporate PACs and AIPAC from day one, not just when
it’s politically convenient to do so.
