Friend,
What unfolded this weekend was historic. From Washington, D.C. to Los
Angeles, from small towns to college campuses, seven million people joined
No Kings rallies to send one unmistakable message: we will not be ruled by
a wanna-be king.
It was a sea of voices united in purpose, a collective and peaceful
refusal to accept the erosion of our democracy. No president, no matter
how powerful or vengeful, stands above the people or the principles that
define this nation.
But the power of this movement didn’t begin and end in the streets. Across
the country, a rising wave of defiance is meeting Trump’s authoritarian
overreach head-on.
Reporters are refusing to bow to the regime’s demands, choosing truth and
accountability over access and appeasement. When Trump’s officials tried
to force journalists to surrender their independence for proximity to
power, newsrooms across the spectrum stood firm and said no. Universities
are also rejecting efforts to dictate what can be taught or who can teach
it, defending the freedom of thought that underpins democracy itself. And
across civic life, from local officials to business leaders, people are
pushing back against Trump’s efforts to turn public institutions into
tools of punishment and fear.
Every act of courage, every refusal to comply with cruelty, is part of a
larger movement reclaiming the moral center of our democracy.
If seven million people can take to the streets in a single weekend,
imagine what we can do together at the ballot box. The Trump regime and
its Republican allies in Congress are counting on exhaustion, cynicism,
and silence to carry them through the midterms. We can’t give them that.
This movement has shown its power in the streets. Now we must organize in
communities, mobilize voters, and hold those in power accountable at every
level of government.
Joining that fight means helping to sustain it. When you give, you’re
fueling the work of millions who believe in democracy, justice, and the
promise of equality. You’re standing shoulder to shoulder with those who
refuse to let Trump’s regime rewrite our future.

strengthen this movement, expose Trump’s corruption, and block his extreme
nominees. Together, we’ll keep building the momentum needed to defend the
rule of law and the values that unite us.
And if you want to carry that message wherever you go, wear it proudly.

and the principles we’re fighting for. [ [link removed] ]Shop the collection >>
Seven million voices just proved what this movement is capable of. Now
it’s on us to carry that momentum forward – organizing, building, and
showing up together through the midterms and beyond.
In solidarity,
People For the American Way
