I’ll be direct: After reviewing our budget, my team determined that we’re beginning to fall a little bit behind on our fundraising projections for the year.

Look, this isn’t the end of the world. This doesn’t mean the sky is falling here at Campaign HQ. But it’s something that needs our attention, and something we need to correct — as quickly as possible.

You and I both know just how disastrous it would be if Republicans win the midterms next year and expand their majority in Washington.

If we lose, Donald Trump’s Big Ugly Bill would only be the beginning. More Medicaid cuts. More hungry kids. Skyrocketing costs. And an unchecked, uncaring authoritarian in the White House.

After all the cruelty and suffering he’s spread across the country, I truly don’t know what our country will look like if Trump and his Republican allies win even more power in next year’s elections. Really, it’s terrifying to even think about.

And listen, I’m not saying that to scare anyone. I’m saying it because all of us need to be clear-eyed about what we’re up against next year — and consequences if we fall short.

But we have one advantage over Republicans — and it’s a big one: People like you. We all know MAGA Republicans don’t have the people on their side. Sure, they have the billionaires and super PACs lined up behind them. But real, grassroots enthusiasm? That’s on our side. And that’s exactly how we’re going to win here in Colorado and all across the country next year.

But we can’t sit back and spend the next 12 months hoping for a victory. We have to work. We have to fight. And yes, we have to gather grassroots support.
