We are now on day 21 of the federal government shutdown. This disruption to critical services has created unacceptable uncertainty and anxiety for many in our community.
Democrats are ready to work on a bipartisan solution to reopen the government while lowering
healthcare costs. Unfortunately, Republican Speaker Mike Johnson has canceled all legislative business and has yet to call members of Congress back to the Capitol.
My office remains open and working for you during the conservative government shutdown. My colleagues and I are ready to meet with Republicans anytime, anywhere to get the government reopened.
