JOhn, I'm going to lay this out as clearly as I can:
Donald Trump just endorsed my opponent Winsome Earle-Sears.
I'm the only Democrat running for Governor this year in a state controlled by Republicans, and I need each person reading this to join our donor list by midnight. It's urgent so that we can continue standing up to President Trump, turning out voters, and demonstrating the strength of this campaign.
This whole year, my opponent has spent more time groveling for Trump's endorsement than standing up for Virginia.
In fact, Winsome admits that she met privately with Trump to plead for his support.
This came at a time when the President was firing thousands of federal workers, driving up prices, and planning to cut funding for healthcare and public schools — actions which have devastated Virginia's economy and threatened the livelihoods of so many.
It's clear that Winsome places her loyalty to Trump above everything else.
Now, I'm using every tool at my disposal to make sure voters know the truth about Winsome. But we're in the heart of early voting now, and sharing our message on TV, at the doors, and over the internet is so incredibly expensive.
