DoIT’s Office of Supplier Diversity to Host Webinar on Preparing Effective Utilization Plans for BEP Compliance
SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Innovation & Technology's (DoIT) Office of Supplier Diversity invites current and prospective vendors to join an educational webinar on Wednesday, November 12th, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM (CT). This session is part of the “Leveraging Diversity in Technology Procurement” series and will provide valuable guidance on preparing effective Business Enterprise Program (BEP) utilization plans.
Titled “Understanding and Preparing a Utilization Plan,” this session tackles one of the most common compliance challenges vendors face in the procurement process. The webinar will provide targeted guidance on how to:
- Properly complete and submit Utilization Plans
- Develop participation agreements
- Write clear and effective Statements of Work
- Demonstrate Good Faith Effort to meet BEP goals
- Strengthen submissions and avoid processing delays
“Utilization Plans are more than a form, they’re your blueprint for meaningful participation,” said DoIT Chief of Supplier Diversity Alice Rivera-Alfaro. “The training equips vendors with the clarity they need to get it right the first time.”
The webinar will be presented by Reginald Lampkin, DoIT’s BEP/Veterans Business Program Manager for Supplier Diversity. The training is designed to help vendors reduce rejections, expedite BEP approval, and gain confidence in navigating the process.
