John,

I wanted to take a moment today to talk about the critical and unique role the State Party has to play in winning elections not just in 2026, but right now. 

Those of you who have worked campaigns with us or volunteered in the office with us know the critical voter file and data infrastructure we maintain and keep accessible to nearly every Democratic door-knocking, post-card writing, and phone-banking effort across the State.

And I of course could never tire of telling you about the tremendous volunteers we've recruited throughout the State with which we maintain relationships over years not just an election cycle. 

But more than that, the Oklahoma Democratic Party is a lighthouse for everyone in our State. 

ODP shines a bright blue light in our deep red state. It warns our State against the dangers of extremism and authoritarianism and can guide Oklahoma to safe harbor. 

As a lighthouse,ODP attracts the blue dots, the volunteers, and the community leaders who step up to run for office. 

Of the utmost importance for a people to be sovereign is their ability to make a meaningful choice in their leadership. That's why we work so hard to recruit candidates to run for every seat in the State. That's why we send staff and commit Party resources to Special Elections in Republican Districts.

This year we've fielded proud Democrats in districts that haven't seen a local Democrat running for office in over 6 years!

And the results speak for themselves. 

In 2 Republican held State Legislative Special Elections this year Oklahoma Democrats improved the Democratic margin by an average of 16.5 points!

And our leadership doesn't stop there. ODP is the table where we can convene stakeholders from around the State in fighting for a fairer, Democratic Oklahoma.

We have a unique capacity to build coordinated efforts and marshal resources between candidates, elected Democrats, activists, advocates, and our friends in organized labor.

Together, we're building an Oklahoma that is ready for new leadership.

Together, we are a rising tide that lifts up all boats -- from local candidates to statewide campaigns.
