Hey there, it’s Illinois Governor JB Pritzker with an urgent message.

Donald Trump has pledged to wage war on Chicago and just last week, he even said I should be in jail.

Here’s what I say to Donald Trump: Come and get me.

If you’re ready to stand with me as Trump escalates his attacks on American cities, Democratic-led states, and governors like me – will you add your name now to stand with me and Democratic governors across the country?

Team, here’s the hard truth: Donald Trump is ignoring the rule of law, and we need to call it what it is: authoritarianism.

These actions by Donald Trump are not making us safer. It’s a show of intimidation, instilling fear in our communities and hurting small businesses. But as I’ve said before, if you come for my people, you come through me. And I will not let Donald Trump play games with Illinoisans’ lives.

Team, believe me when I tell you that the law is on our side when it comes to standing up to the president.

I know we can overcome these challenges. And Democratic governors across the nation are also standing strong in this fight by challenging Donald Trump in court.

But Donald Trump and Republicans aren’t letting up anytime soon – so it’s up to us now to fight back. I’m asking you personally: Will you add your name now to stand with me and Democratic governors who are standing up for you and fighting for our rights nationwide?
