When October fundraising reports were released last week, my team and I went through the numbers — and what we saw filled me with pride and gratitude.

Not only did we meet our fundraising goals, but we raised more grassroots, small-dollar donations than both of our top two opponents combined.

This is huge.

I’m not talking about high-dollar money or donations from PACs. I’m talking pure grassroots people-powered fundraising. We out-raised both of our top two opponents in grassroots, small-dollar donations — combined.

That’s the power of people coming together for change, and that’s the strength of this movement — powered by people who believe in what we’re building together.

While my opponents rely on big donors and corporate PACs, our campaign is fueled by you — by everyday people who believe in making life more affordable, more just, and more fair for every Illinoisan.

This news is the momentum we need to win. But with less than five months until our primary — and one opponent already on air — we can’t afford to slow down.
