Fellow activist, did you see this message from Kadida?
Yesterday was the voter registration deadline in PA. This means that starting tomorrow, October 22, we are officially launching NPP’s independent expenditure get-out-the-vote (GOTV) door-knocking and Election Day precinct program, which will run through November 4!
We will be hitting the streets to ensure that voters across our focused regions know to vote YES on the retention election of three PA Supreme Court justices, elected as Democrats. There are also two judges who are standing for retention, one on the Commonwealth Court and one on the Superior Court. NPP will also be supporting Judge Stella Tsai for the Commonwealth Court vacancy and Judge Brandon Neuman for the Superior Court vacancy. The stakes couldn’t be higher, and this is go time.
Here’s the deal: We have a $33,000 budget gap to fill to fully fund these programs, and with institutional giving down across the board, we are depending on grassroots support.
Will you rush $25 now to help us reach as many voters as possible and ensure they turn out to vote YES this November?

We are up against a well-funded, massive anti-retention campaign. We cannot afford to lose momentum now.
Let’s do this,
Team NPP
----------- Forwarded message ---------
As I travel across this great Commonwealth talking to Pennsylvanians about why courts and this year’s judicial election matter, I wanted to take a moment to reach out.
With the voter registration deadline in PA coming up on Monday, October 20th, we are preparing to launch NPP’s independent expenditure get-out-the-vote (GOTV) doorknocking and Election Day precinct program that will run from October 22 through November 4th!
Our staff will be knocking on doors across some of our focused regions, from western PA to the Lehigh Valley, throughout the collar counties of Philadelphia, and the capital region. We are up against a well-funded, massive anti-retention campaign, and the stakes couldn’t be higher. If MAGA and the billionaires are successful with their anti-retention campaign against the three PA Supreme Court justices, who were elected as democrats, Pennsylvania could face a judicial crisis.
The court could have three vacancies until/unless the Governor can appoint and the PA Senate confirms interim justices – which is unlikely, as this would require support from Republicans in the PA Senate. This means we could have vacancies on the Supreme Court until the next judicial election in 2027.
With so much at stake this November, I have to reach out to ask for your support to fully fund our GOTV program. Will you pitch in $25 or whatever you can afford to help us reach as many voters as possible and ensure they understand the importance of voting for their values this November?

The New Pennsylvania Project (NPP) is a voting rights organization with a year-round primary focus on voter registration, civic education, and mobilization. NPP centers historically disenfranchised and often neglected Black, Indigenous and other people of color, immigrant communities and the youth in our work. Through civic engagement, we ensure all eligible voters feel compelled to exercise their freedom to vote in the Commonwealth.
