Dear Friends,

Today, I’ll be joined by Naomi Steinberg, Vice President of Policy and
Advocacy at HIAS, for a crucial conversation on how we turn the energy
from No Kings this weekend into real action.

We’ll talk about how to support our immigrant neighbors right now – and
how Trump’s mass-deportation agenda is reshaping life for immigrants,
refugees and citizens alike.

Friends,

Some of the scenes across the country – emerging on social media and some
even promoted actively by this White House – are shocking. Masked ICE
agents dragging people off the street. Military-style raids on apartment
buildings. Families torn apart.

The Trump Administration has turned cruelty into policy – and it’s not
making our country any safer, nor addressing the real problems facing
working families.

Today, we’re hosting a call with Naomi Steinberg, Vice President of Policy
and Advocacy at HIAS – the global Jewish refugee agency – to discuss
Trump’s escalating mass-deportation agenda and its impact on immigrants,
refugees and citizens alike.

We’ll discuss how HIAS’s mission has evolved amid new global and domestic
challenges – from the Trump Administration’s anti-immigrant crackdown to
its work in Israel.

As Jews, our values and history compel us to act, speak out against
injustice and stand with those being targeted. Together, we must commit to
defending the rights and freedoms that have long made this country a safe
haven for our community.

discussion >>
