This is a calculated attack on our environment by extremists in Congress.

Some Republicans are aiming directly at the laws that protect our most vulnerable wildlife. They are fast-tracking a bill that would eviscerate the Marine Mammal Protection Act — the landmark law that has protected whales and other marine mammals for over 50 years. Their changes would fatally delay protecting North Atlantic right whales from fishing gear entanglements, a huge threat to their survival, for another ten years.

It's an extreme, anti-science giveaway to corporate interests — a deliberate strategy to make it illegal to protect these majestic creatures. They won't survive this coordinated attack.
