50 languages ring out in the halls of Brashear High, making it one of the most culturally diverse schools ([link removed]) in Pittsburgh Public Schools. Around 40% of students are English language learners, and staff view this diversity as a point of pride. It also poses challenges to teaching capacity for a district in flux.

As Brashear navigates growing enrollment from immigrants and refugees, community partners ([link removed]) forge a critical alliance to address students’ needs.

One of those partners was also a sponsor of the city's biggest anti-Trump rally ([link removed]) Saturday.
