We have just *days* to get our local partners to Brazil’s climate summit! ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

John,

Amazon defenders can’t get to the world’s most important climate talks in their *own country*! We could get them there to fight for our planet’s future – but we need to move NOW for them to make it in time.

Our local partners have spent years defending the Amazon and its people from toxic mining companies. And now they have a rare chance to meet with Brazil’s Federal Prosecutor who has the power to hold these corporate bullies accountable for destroying the Amazon!

It’s an incredible opportunity to demand justice on a global stage. But if we can’t cover their costs, they can’t go. There’s far too much at stake for us to let that happen.

If all of us urgently chip in what we can, we could book their travel right away, get them in meetings to push world leaders to set ambitious goals, and double down on our campaigns in the media at this make-or-break moment for the planet.

John, we have just a few weeks before the Amazon’s fate is decided – can you chip in to help fight for our future?

Rampant deforestation, mining, and global heating driven by burning fossil fuels is pushing the Amazon to the edge of a critical tipping point. If we don’t urgently shift course now, the world’s lungs could turn into a dried-out savanna – and it would mean climate chaos for all of us.

But eye-watering accommodation rates are pricing out the frontline communities who know better than anyone what’s needed to save us from catastrophe. Without a massive grassroots presence, the UN climate summit risks becoming a meeting for only the wealthiest nations, awash with fossil fuel lobbyists pushing for the weakest global commitments while the world burns.

That’s why we’re racing to get our partners to the world’s most important meeting for the Amazon –  and the planet.

Indigenous leaders and local communities can force politicians to reckon with the lived realities being unleashed on millions of people around the world and push for strong, forest-saving targets – just like when their relentless organising helped pressure Brazil’s President Lula to veto some of the worst parts of the anti-environment "devastation bill” that would have ripped up the rights of Indigenous, Quilombola and riverine communities to have a say in decisions affecting their homes.

Now, they have a golden opportunity to meet face to face with authorities who can stop toxic corporations from killing the Amazon.

In the words of our partner, Ana: “The defense of the Xingu [river] is the defense of the Amazon. Our unity is the only guarantee that life and the river will prevail over profit.”

We’ve helped activists get to these meetings before, including Tibetan climate scientist Lobsang Yantso. Now we can do it again for land defenders in their home country.

The clock is ticking. Can you urgently chip in to get local communities to COP30 – and help power our work fighting for our planet?
