Did you make it to a “No Kings” protest this weekend? The crowds were incredible! It was inspiring to see so many Americans exercising their First Amendment rights and speaking truth to power. This is the energy we need.
Trump is trying to turn the protests into a punchline, but there’s nothing funny about what’s happening. People weren’t out there because it was easy or convenient. They showed up because they love this country and they refuse to sit by while Trump tramples our rights, undermines the rule of law, and tries to crown himself king.
These protests are incredibly important. It’s vital that people all over the country, especially in deep red pockets, see they aren’t alone in resisting. What we are living through is not normal, and it’s on each and everyone of us to fight back. I’m proud to be in this fight with you.
