I hope all is well. After another day at the Board of Elections, I am reaching out with an update on vote counting in the NY-01 Democratic Primary.

After today’s count, Nancy has a 536-vote lead over Perry Gershon, with over 33,000 of the 36,000 absentee ballots counted. The remaining ~3,000 votes are from Smithtown and Islip, towns in which Nancy led strongly in the in-person voting. These final ballots will be counted tomorrow. 

Tonight I go to bed very hopeful that tomorrow Nancy can reach out to tell you that she is the Democratic nominee to take on Lee Zeldin. In the meantime, thank you again for your time, generosity, and efforts. Your help has really made a decisive difference in this razor-close race.

The results of NY-01's primary are currently unclear, but we can't afford to lose this time in building our campaign to defeat Lee Zeldin. If Nancy Goroff does not win the primary, however, any donations made to her general election campaign fund will be refunded.
