Thank you for helping us reach our goal.
Hi there,
Recently, we asked the Swing Left community to help us reach an $11,000 fundraising goal to make it possible for college students from Boston and New York City to pile into buses and knock on doors in Virginia.
Today we’re proud to announce that, thanks to this incredible community, we surpassed that goal—raising over $14,000 to help those students turn out voters in one of the most consequential elections this year!
Their work is part of our larger effort to defend and expand Democratic power in the state. State-level power is a critical xxxxxx against Trump’s national agenda, and what happens in Virginia’s statewide elections this year will be an important bellwether for what happens all over the country next year.
That’s why the Swing Left community is doing everything we can to flip the governor’s, lieutenant governor’s, and attorney general’s offices blue, in addition to flipping 8 critical state House seats to Democrats. And the work these students are doing is an important part of that effort.
If you want to get involved and make an immediate impact in these races, consider making a donation of $25, or any amount that feels right, split between Swing Left, all eight of the candidates we’re supporting for House of Delegates, and Jay Jones’s campaign for Attorney General.

Because our goal is always to make sure your time and money go where they’ll have the greatest impact, we’re focusing fundraising in Virginia on the races that need it most right now: eight competitive House of Delegate seats and Jay Jones’s campaign for Attorney General.
We reached out to the campaigns we’re supporting, and here are some examples of how your donation will make an impact:
- Digital ads are critical for reaching voters where they already are—with the right message that will help get them out to vote. One campaign has a $12,000 gap they need to fill to keep their ads running through election day.
- Flyers are essential tools for those knocking doors, reminding voters when and where to cast their ballots. Another campaign needs $4,000 to print campaign flyers to distribute in their district.
- Yard signs build visibility and momentum in communities, signaling support, boosting enthusiasm, and reminding neighbors that every vote matters. A few campaigns mentioned needing more yard signs, which cost between $5 to $8 per sign.
- And across the board, campaigns mentioned the need to pay for field staff to talk to voters, and TV and radio ads through Election Day.
Your donation today helps fill these real gaps on the ground—and makes an impact on the number of voters these campaigns are able to reach before Election Day.
If you can’t give right now, that’s okay too. Any support—whether it’s your dollars, time, or energy—will help us win in Virginia this year and power the grassroots movement we need to flip the House in 2026.
Thank you for everything you do,
The Swing Left Team
