John,
With so much going on right now across our country, DC politicians – supported by our opponent Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler – thought they could sneakily attack our health care in the middle of the night last week when they filed a lawsuit against the Affordable Care Act.
This lawsuit, supported by the current administration, moves us in the wrong direction, aiming to completely overturn our current health care law without a plan for replacing it.
If these politicians succeed in their efforts, they’ll potentially rip away health care coverage from over 650,000 Washingtonians – in the middle of a pandemic. It’s unfathomable.
Look, we need to come up with solutions to make health insurance more affordable and accessible for everyone, support our rural hospitals, and lower the skyrocketing costs of prescription drugs. Attacking our current system in the courts like this achieves none of that.
If elected to Congress, I guarantee I will fight for low-deductible public option health care that also protects coverage for people with pre-existing conditions. I will never vote to rip coverage away from people, especially as we face a public health crisis.
Help me fight for Southwest Washingtonians’ health care in Congress: make a donation of $10 or whatever you can today so we have what it takes to Flip the 3rd this November.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
Thank you,
Carolyn
