Every year, the Senate takes off for the annual August recess. As nice as it would be to kick my feet up and take a month-long vacation, the truth is we’ve got work to do. This week, I was out campaigning for our General Assembly candidates. Next week, I’m hitting the road for a trip, with events across the Commonwealth.

Candidly, I don’t think the Senate should even have gone on recess. We’ve got important issues facing our country like election security, gun violence, and healthcare that really can’t wait.

That’s actually the reason I’m reaching out: I want to know what issues you want me to focus on when the Senate reconvenes in early September.
