Hunting Trump
President Trump was seen at Palm Beach International Airport yesterday boarding Air Force One on the “short stairs.” Some on the Left mocked the president and speculated about his health, saying, “Look, he can’t get up the full flight of stairs.”
No, that was Joe Biden. President Trump used the short stairs for a much more disturbing reason.
Prior to the president’s arrival in Palm Beach, the Secret Service made a chilling discovery. During “advanced security preparations” before Air Force One landed, members of the presidential security detail found a “hunting stand” in a nearby tree. There’s no hunting around the airport.
While reports suggest the stand had been there for some time, it had a direct line of sight of Air Force One’s landing zone, including the president boarding and leaving the plane, which usually involves using an 18-foot staircase.
Obviously concerned that the hunting stand might have been set up by a potential assassin to “hunt” the president, the Secret Service took extra precautions when he boarded Air Force One for his return to Washington, D.C.
Just another reminder of the danger President Trump lives with daily—especially considering the Left’s hate-filled rhetoric.
Don’t Know Much About History
In eleven days, October will be over. Thankfully, with this president back in the White House, you probably didn’t notice that October is “LGBTQ History Month.” That’s on top of June being “LGBTQ Pride Month.” Barack Obama and Joe Biden always made sure that we knew.
And to think it all started in 1975 with just one day to “honor” the alphabet people. Now they have 61 days. George Washington and Abraham Lincoln must be jealous.
What could the LGTBQ crowd possibly need two entire months for? Our kids don’t know enough about American history, but we have radical teachers telling young children about “LGBTQ+ experiences as integral to the American experience.”
And when is Heterosexual History Month? And what about the other 57 genders? We don’t even have enough weeks to accommodate them all. Will the “furries” get a month of their own? They probably will the next time we elect a “progressive.”
Day 20
It’s Day 20 of the Schumer Shutdown. The Senate will vote later today on the House-approved funding bill to reopen the government, but few expect it will pass.
Democrats are demanding $1.5 trillion in additional spending. They want to restore taxpayer-funded healthcare to illegal aliens. If we gave in to what they are demanding to reopen the government, it would be another $1.5 trillion in spending when we are already struggling with massive debt and deficits.
There is growing fear that we are approaching the point when the government will not be able to raise enough funds in bond sales to finance all the debt and spending. But Democrats are willing to do whatever they have to do to hurt the country in order to help themselves politically.
Speaker Mike Johnson is holding firm. He said yesterday, “I refuse to allow [the House of Representatives] to come back and engage in anything until the government’s reopened.”
Israel’s Christian Allies
Every year, the Israel Allies Founding (IAF) publishes a list of the top 50 Christian allies of Israel. Carol and I are very proud that our son, Zach Bauer, CEO of Passages, made this year’s list at Number 33. IAF recognized Zach’s strong support for Israel and commended his direction of Passages, writing:
“Under his leadership, Passages is not only continuing its mission to take Christian students to Israel, but also evolving into a leading voice in pro-Israel education and grassroots advocacy among the next generation of Christian leaders.”
Passages needs significant resources in this era of growing hatred for Israel and the Jewish people.
By the way, Number 2 on this year’s list is Charlie Kirk. There has been a lot of speculation about Kirk’s pro-Israel views since his assassination. Any suggestion that he was not a strong supporter of Israel is garbage.
As IAF noted, Kirk “made support for Israel a cornerstone of his work. Kirk traveled frequently to the Jewish state, spoke at leading Israeli institutions, and integrated pro-Israel programming into TPUSA’s national conferences and campus initiatives.”
