Trump wants you to think these protests aren’t Americans from every
walk of life, from cities and towns, big and small.
Jamie spoke to a crowd of 8,000, in a town with a total population
of 15,000! Many shared it was their first ever
protest.
In total, 7 million people in 2,600+
communities turned out for No Kings this weekend. The research shows
our pro-democracy movement is expanding and breaking new
ground.1,2
In her speech, Jamie reminded us
that Trump knows our strength, which is why he aims to divide us.
She invited the crowd to look each other in the eye — to see the
neighbors Trump will try to divide us from — and say “Hineni,
I am here.”
Watch
the powerful moment when the crowd chants “Hineni!” at No
Kings this weekend.
This march is a reminder for
us of our power. When Trump tries to break our democracy, he’s not
showing strength but exposing his weakness. He’s showing he doesn’t
have popular support. We have the numbers, we are the majority, and we
will protect each other.
Hineni, we are here,
