Dear Neighbors,
Gun violence remains one of the most urgent public health epidemics in our district and across the country. Every life lost to gun violence is one too many, and I am committed to advancing real, evidence-based solutions that save lives.
In Congress, I helped pass the Bipartisan Safer Communication Act, the first federal gun safety law in nearly 30 years. It included funding for community violence intervention (CVI) programs, investments in mental health services, and provisions to crack down on gun trafficking. These proven solutions keep guns out of dangerous hands, reduce preventable shootings, and address the root causes of gun violence.
I will continue working with local leaders, law enforcement, and advocates to build safer neighborhoods. Every family deserves to be safe in their own homes and communities.
