That’s how long it’s been since the people of Arizona’s 7th District elected Adelita Grijalva to represent them in the House, and Speaker Mike Johnson still hasn’t sworn her in.

He’s offered every excuse in the world, but we know the true reason is to delay the discharge petition that would force a vote on the Epstein files.

Rep.-elect Grijalva would be the last needed signature on the petition, and Speaker Johnson knows that if Republicans are forced to go on the record on this issue, they’re going to implode.

That’s why Speaker Johnson told House Republicans to stay on vacation, for the third week in a row, instead of coming back to Washington to help Democrats find a solution to get the government back open.

This is literally insane. It’s not normal. And it’s a complete abdication of responsibility.

While American people suffer, House Republicans are standing directly in the way of getting our government back open and back to work for the people — prioritizing doing Donald Trump's bidding over their constituents.
