John,
It's Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes. On Thursday I went on CNN with Jake Tapper and told the American people: Time is up.

I gave Speaker Mike Johnson two days last week to swear in Representative-elect Adelita Grijalva. He refused. And now 813,000 Arizonans in Arizona's 7th Congressional District are being taxed without representation.
That’s why I have lawyers downstairs from my office drafting the litigation right now.
There's only one conceivable reason Johnson is doing this: Rep.-elect Grijalva would be the deciding vote on releasing the government's records on Jeffrey Epstein.
That's right. Johnson is denying 813,000 Arizonans their constitutional right to representation in Congress to protect powerful people from accountability.
I won’t stand for it.
Arizona elected Adelita on September 23rd. Her election was certified. She has her certificate of election. Johnson swore in two Florida Republicans during pro forma sessions in April, but he refuses to apply the same standard when it’s an Arizona Democrat.
When someone violates Arizonans' rights, I take them to court — even when that’s the Speaker of the House.
Can you support my re-election campaign, so I can continue to do the work of standing up for Arizona in 2026 and beyond?
More to come soon,
Kris
