Hi Team,
Our state fundraising deadline is today, and what we raise will decide how much we can invest in critical races across Michigan, including one of the most important local elections this year: the Southfield City Clerk race.
Here’s what’s happening:
In one of the most Democratic cities in Michigan, a MAGA Republican is running unopposed for City Clerk, the very office that administers elections. Wynett Guy, a lifelong public servant and veteran, is running a write-in campaign to protect Southfield voters and their right to fair elections.
The Michigan Democratic Party is organizing volunteers, knocking doors, and making sure voters know how to correctly write in Wynett Guy’s name on their ballot.
We can’t let a Republican election-denier take control of one of the most trusted local offices in one of the most Democratic cities in the state.
That’s why today’s state fundraising deadline matters.
Write-in campaigns are tough… they take resources, training, and constant voter outreach. But we know that when Democrats organize together, we win.
Every dollar we raise will help us reach more voters, protect local democracy, and keep extremists out of offices that oversee our elections.
We’re building the infrastructure now that will power Michigan Democrats through 2026, from Southfield to the state House races to the U.S. Senate. But it starts with this month’s deadline.
Let’s make sure every Southfield voter knows: write in Wynett Guy for City Clerk.
Chip in $10 or any amount today, and together, we’ll win this critical local race.
Onward,
Curtis Hertel
