Moments ago, the Supreme Court ruled in Trump v. Pennsylvania, giving the green light to the Trump administration’s attacks on our birth control coverage.
Anti-choice extremists are determined to do everything possible to restrict our rights. Let’s be clear: Every body deserves birth control coverage, no matter where you work or go to school. The Trump-Pence rules that the Supreme Court just let go into effect allow employers and universities to take birth control coverage away from their employees and students. But the personal beliefs of your boss or school shouldn’t dictate the care you can access.
And like so many of the Trump administration’s dangerous policies, those affected most may be those who already face the biggest obstacles to care — including Black, Latinx, and Asian American and Pacific Islander communities, undocumented people, and LGBTQ folks.

This case is another part of the Radical Right’s quest to roll back our reproductive freedom, including its attacks on abortion rights in June Medical Services LLC v. Russo. While the Court struck down Louisiana’s clinic shutdown law last week, what we really won was the freedom to fight another day. The fractured decision in that case opened the door for anti-choice, anti-freedom politicians to redouble their efforts to undermine access to care and push even more legislation rolling back our reproductive freedom. And just as we warned, if Brett Kavanaugh had his way, our reproductive freedom would be in immediate peril.
