WEDNESDAY, JULY 8,
AT 8 P.M. ET/5 P.M. PT
Join us for this special town hall meeting to discover how PETA is saving
animals' skin!
Dear Friend,
Late last month, PETA released a first-of-its-kind investigation that revealed
terrified animals screaming in agony as they were tied down and roughly sheared
by workers at the world's largest privately owned alpaca farm. Already, this
latest eye-opening PETA investigation has led massive retailers Overstock.com
and ESPRIT to ban alpaca wool and prompted global fashion powerhouses Gap Inc.
and H&M Group to cut ties with the farm's parent company—and more companies are
sure to follow.
It's been decades since PETA first reminded the world that "fur is dead," and
today, we're revolutionizing the entire fashion industry. Major cities are banning fur sales; designers and retailers
are committing to dropping angora, exotic skins, and other products of cruelty;
and animal-friendly fashions using innovative new vegan materials are among the
hottest trends on runways and in style pages around the world.
Now is your chance to discover the many ways PETA is working to save the skin of all animals during a special town hall meeting on Wednesday, July 8, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT . PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman, Senior Vice President of
Campaigns Dan Mathews, and Vice President of Evidence Analysis Dan Paden will
join President Ingrid Newkirk and me for a lively discussion on how PETA is
doing more to save the skin, feathers, and fur of animals than ever before.
We encourage you to join us! To participate, simply log on to PETA.org/JulyTownHall
[[link removed]] at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on July 8.
I hope you'll join Ingrid and all of us on July 8 for what's sure to be an
inspiring and informative discussion of PETA's work.
Kind regards,
Lisa Lange
Senior Vice President of Communications
