Facebook refuses to address its anti-Muslim problem.
Tell Congress to take action.

Dear Friend,

Did you know that Facebook permits white nationalist militias to threaten mosques? That it failed to stop the livestream of a white nationalist gunman as he slaughtered 51 people at two mosques in Christchurch? That—according to the United Nations—it has played a determining role in the genocide against Muslim Rohingya in Myanmar?

Facebook is enabling violence and genocide against Muslims. But the company refuses to stop it. Click here to help hold Mark Zuckerberg and Sheryl Sandberg accountable for their company’s actions.

After years of advocacy from Muslim Advocates and our partners, Facebook agreed to undergo an independent civil rights audit. We just received the final report and it definitively states that Facebook has an anti-Muslim problem—and the company has no intention of fixing it.

This month, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg will testify in front of Congress and it’s vital that members of Congress raise these concerns. We’re already working to educate members of Congress and we need your help to make sure they hear us.

If Facebook won’t stop this pain and violence, Congress must act.

Over the years, we have made so many actionable recommendations that Facebook could have taken to prevent anti-Muslim violence. Last year, our Executive Director Farhana Khera even sat down with Zuckerberg at his home in Palo Alto, where she directly and clearly stated these facts. Yet time and again, Facebook fails to act, and our community suffers.

They boast that they’ve almost eradicated child pornography and terrorism related content on their platform, so clearly they can prevent hate violence. They just don’t care enough to do so.

That’s where you come in. Will you email congressional leadership right now and urge them take Zuckerberg to task over his anti-Muslim problem?

Sincerely,

Madihha Ahussain
