Email from 40 Days for Life Vigil participation is larger and younger John, It's been nearly six weeks since Charlie Kirk was assassinated. The bullet that silenced Charlie's voice was intended to silence YOUR voice too by making you afraid to speak out in the public square. But the cowardly assassin failed. I sat down with Fox News to discuss how 40 Days for Life leaders across the United States report increased vigil participation from pro-lifers inspired by Charlie's legacy: Tune in by clicking the image or visiting: foxnews.com/politics/40-days-life-sees-spike-volunteers-after-charlie-kirks-assassination "The day after [Charlie] died, I got a text that changed things for me dramatically," wrote Monica, who leads the campaign in Ventura, California. "Students...were suddenly on fire to get out to the sidewalk to pray and were asking me to go with them." The sidewalk in front of Ventura's Planned Parenthood has been packed with pro-lifers of all ages. "Fifty people came out this afternoon--a record crowd for our Ventura 40 Days for Life campaign!" Monica said. "I knew that I was seeing firsthand the Charlie Kirk effect." Monica said that her increasingly young volunteers were filled with joy as they prayed and witnessed for life. "Their zeal re-ignited mine," she said. "What a blessing to have that fire burning here once again!" Tucson, Arizona Laura said her 40 Days for Life rally drew more than 75 participants in the rain. "Being in Arizona, we were aware of many people who would have normally attended who traveled to Phoenix to attend the memorial for Charlie Kirk," she noted. Whether it's the result of Charlie's assassination or the hard work of the Tucson leadership team or both, turnout is up. "We are noticing our prior participants have increased their prayer time at the sidewalk," Laura said. And those prayers have been answered. A volunteer named Keith encountered a couple at the abortion center, and the father was not happy about the positive pregnancy test... ...but when Keith shared a fetal model with him, his demeanor changed entirely. "That made a huge impact on this young man," Laura explained. "The couple walked away united in continuing the pregnancy." Bangor, Maine "We have certainly seen an impact in participation from the passing of Charlie Kirk," reported Nichole, the Bangor 40 Days for Life leader. New volunteers have joined the vigil, and the community is taking notice, as people stop by to pray for campaign participants. "I have had the opportunity to speak to the young adults and teens in my church through small groups and even [through] the local Turning Point Faith chapter, giving them tangible means to get involved, including coming out to pray with us," Nichole said. Nichole also noted that a beautiful and well-timed rainbow provided further encouragement. "God shows us He is present and seeking to win hearts in this season. A beautiful reminder of His covenant to us." Casper, Wyoming Several area high schools and colleges have started chapters of Charlie's organization, Turning Point USA, and Casper leader Ross said he believes there are new opportunities to involve young people in his vigil. "We have wonderful news. The Luther Classical College pro-life student group participated in our...40 Days for Life campaign," he reported. Most of the students had never prayed in front of an abortion facility before. "Their participation lifted the spirits of us old folks," Ross said. "Besides this good news about the students, we are seeing fewer women coming to [the abortion facility]." I give you a new commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another. --John 13:34 Dear Jesus, please instill in me a rich understanding of your love so that I might share it with others. Grant me the courage to open my heart to others. Give me the grace to treat each person as I would treat you. Amen.
