When the government shuts down, families don’t get a pause button. Workers still have rent due. Parents still have mouths to feed.
 
I’ve been hearing from people who are already feeling it. WIC offices slowing down. Paychecks delayed. The worry in their voices is the same everywhere: why can’t politicians just do their damn jobs?
 
That’s why I’m in this fight. Because when government fails, it’s working people who pay.
