NO KINGS DEMOCRACY ORIGINAL SIN There were reported 2,500 “No Kings” rallies in cities and towns across the nation Saturday. Of those, nineteen were held in Oklahoma. A major theme of the rallies, aside from the expression of hatred for the President is the presumption that democracy is the codified and proper form of America government. According to CNN, California Senator Adam Schiff said that this past Saturday marked a grassroots stand in defense of democratic values. Democracy is the oldest form of government on earth. It was established in Eden when Adam and Eve chose to override divine ordinance and in a unanimous two to nothing vote inaugurated the inclination of mankind to set the rules of life on earth. Those who Stephen called “the church in the desert” (Acts 7) followed suit and all but three (Joshua, Caleb, and Moses) voted to reject God’s mission for them. (Numbers 14) Democracy was never so much the center of the history of mankind as it was in Jerusalem when man’s long anticipated King and Redeemer found Himself rejected by the popular vote of His own people. (Luke 23). It was a vote that transformed history. For 6,000 years, man has been confronted with one life-changing decision: which of two paths to take. The choice rests on the ultimate presupposition of each of us. On that point, there are only two choices. OPTION ONE: Man may consider that what we know about reality begins with the Scripture as the inerrant Word of God. All other knowledge is built on this one foundation. OPTION TWO: Rejecting the first option, a man must chose to base all knowledge on the mind of man. On this path, man lives his life independent of transcendent epistemological foundations. This path led to the establishment of rule by a democracy in Eden, the failure in the route from Egypt to Canaan, and the Great Trial in Jerusalem. For the Christian, as for both our founders and those who crafted Western Civilization, only divine law could serve as the principle upon which societies could thrive. Apart from a constitutional republic founded upon God’s law, man is ruled by a pure democracy and the tyranny of man’s narcissistic inclination to vote for a government who will give him the same security he received from his parents when he was a child. In other words, man’s selfish and sinful desires must be factored into the equation when crafting governmental structures in which all have the opportunity to prosper as equals under divinely inspired law. Our founders gave us a constitutional republic. When, in 1787, Benjamin Franklin was asked by Elizabeth Powel what form of government the authors of the U.S. Constitution had formed, he responded, “A republic, if you can keep it.” We vote as in a democracy. However, we are voting for those we find trustworthy to abide by the laws of our founding documents. James Madison, writing in Federalist Number Ten wrote that democracies have “ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention . . . incompatible with personal security and rights of property.” This is much different than two wolves and a lamb voting on what is for dinner. A constitutional republic is not the democracy of the French Revolution, and it is not the democracy of mob rule being called for by the radical “no Kings” movement. Our adherence to our republican founding has been in the descent for more than 100 years. As the ideals of divine order have been eviscerated from academia at all levels, our nation has descended into a narcissistic void which can be reversed only by a move of the Spirit of God upon His people. Russell Kirk (1918-1994) was the twentieth century’s most effective leader of conservative thought. He was a philosopher, social critic, historian, author, and novelist. He is the father of the modern conservative movement. In his book, The Conservative Mind, he acknowledges the importance of fundamental, Biblical anthropological realities in crafting a society when he said: Recognition of the abiding power of sin is a cardinal tenet in conservatism. For conservative thinkers believe that man is corrupt, that his appetites need restraint, and that the forces of custom, authority, law, and government, as well as moral discipline are required to keep him in check. In his Essays and Reviews, Orestes Brownson wrote: The modern spirit is in everything the direct denial of the practical reason . . . It asserts the universal and absolute supremacy of man, and his unrestricted right to subject religion, morals, and politics to his own will, passion, or caprice. To close with Russell Kirk’ The Conservative Mind: The pure democrat is the practical atheist: ignoring the divine nature of law and the divine establishment of spiritual hierarchy, he is the unconscious instrument of diabolic powers for the undoing of mankind. Lord Acton wrote in his The History of Freedom: The true democratic principle that every man’s free will shall be as unfettered as possible, is taken to mean that the free will of the collective people shall be fettered in nothing. Sir James Jeans, English physicist, mathematician, and member of the Royal Society, observed the problem with societies being controlled by the ideals of democracies is that the masses tend to rely on dubious sources of information and perspective. He writes in “Living Philosophies”: As I see it, democracy encourages the nimble charlatan at the expense of the thinker and prefers the plausible wizard with quack remedies to the true statesman. Democracy is ever eager for rapid progress, and the only progress which can be rapid is progress downhill. For this reason, I suspect that all democracies carry within them the seeds of their own destruction, and I cannot believe that democracy is to be our final form of government. And indeed, there is little enough of it left in Europe today. The “No Kings” movement rests on ill-informed and empty phrases fed them by the far left political machine engaged in international unrest. Last Thursday at the TPUSA event at the University of Oklahoma, an estimated 10,000 came to celebrate the life of Charlie Kirk and his love for college students. Outside, all the protesters (about 7 of them) were invited to come inside and have a dialogue as first in line to the microphone. They preferred to remain outside the Lloyd Noble Arena and chant their worn-out and tired phrases through their megaphones. Like the agitators of the No Kings movement, they had no academic substance. Only loud, angry and uninformed voices. Dr. Everett Piper continues the crusade for truth this week as he exposes the regrettable decline of Candice Owens. His article is below. The Chesapeake Event Center at the Oklahoma History Museum was well attended again on October 1 as we provided a packed group of speakers. For those of you not in attendance, we have video segments of each of the speakers at the bottom of this newsletter. DR. EVERETT PIPER Sunday, October 12, 2025 THE CHRISTIAN GENOCIDE IN NIGERIA IS REAL Stop Listening to Candace Owens This week, I posted the following to all my Facebook "friends:" To all my followers, I've been asked by a few of you why some of your comments about Candace Owens have disappeared from my Facebook threads. The answer is simple. I have deleted them. I went on to say: My Facebook page is akin to my living room or kitchen table, and I will not let my house be used to foment antisemitism. Period. Full stop. I then concluded: Here's my bottom line - If you're prone to support the rancid Jew-baiting bigotry of people like Ms. Owens, I will block you. I don't apologize for this. I'll say it again, this is my 'house' and I will not let rude conspiracy peddling gossips spoil a party that they weren't invited to attend in the first place. Why do I feel this way? It's really quite simple. Candace Owens is either a shameless grifter who will say just about anything to get more clicks, or she is a flat-out moonbat. Candidly, I am not sure which, but either way, her antisemitic frothing at the mouth has no place in polite society. Here are just a few examples: Candace Owens has openly said that Israel is an "occult nation." She has implied that the Star of David on Israel's flag symbolizes pagan idolatry and the worship of Moloch. She has claimed that Judaism is a "pedophile-centric religion that believes in… child sacrifice." While still talking about Jews, Owens has argued she is "waking people up to the fact that pedophiles are in power." Ms. Owens has equated Jews with Marxists who want to "rewrite history." She has accused Israel of being behind the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. And she has said that Israel has "taken over" the United States. In a live broadcast on X titled "The Truth About Zionism," Candace Owens said, "There is ...a group of people in [the United States] who can just keep lying on people …trying to ruin people's lives and there's just no accountability, because then you just get to flip it and say oh, it's antisemitism." Later in this same broadcast, Owens went on to state that Israel had advance knowledge about 9/11, thereby implying that the Jews were somehow complicit in these attacks. Ms. Owens has overtly diminished the atrocities of the Third Reich by saying: [Zionists]… have polluted American minds to believe that we must defend Israel out of morality and the evils of the Holocaust. She has dismissed the horrors of Josef Mengele by asserting that: Some of the stories, [of his] experimentation on innocent people… sound completely absurd. And she has openly defended the vulgar antisemitism of Kanye West, where he actually said he was going "death con 3 on Jewish people." But that's not all. In addition to her rabid dislike of Jews, Candace Owens also traffics in a host of other aberrant and nutty ideas. She has suggested that dinosaur bones are not real and claimed that the fossils on display in museums across the world have been manufactured for some conspiratorial purpose. She has called all of science "a pagan faith" (Forget the fact that Galileo, Newton, Kepler, Boyle, Pascal, Pasteur, and a host of others were all committed Christians) She has openly entertained flat-earth theory (My land, has the woman never flown in an airplane?). And, she has suggested denial of the moon landing by saying, "[If it's real], why have we not gone back?" (Spoiler alert: We have gone back! Six times to be exact. Twelve different men, from multiple missions, have walked on the moon's surface ). So, to those who claim that Candace Owens "is simply criticizing the State of Israel and its leadership," I offer this. No, she is not! Candace Owens has trafficked in the Jew-baiting lie of blood libel. She has dismissed the butchery of Hitler's Angel of Death. She has implied that TPUSA Jews like Josh Hammer might possibly be complicit in Charlie Kirk's assassination. She has perpetuated the loony idea that a sex cult called the "Frankists" established the modern state of Israel. She has routinely peddled nonsense that is more aligned with the Protocols of Zion than it is with any semblance of factual history. She denies the moon landings, and she has literally said, "I'm not a round-earther [and] I'm not a flat earther," thus implying that flat earth theory might have its merits. Candace Owens is either a divisive charlatan who’s laughing all the way to the bank, or she’s a conspiratorial nut. Whichever it is, no thoughtful human being should be platforming her nonsense. ________________ Find more Everett Piper here: Everett Piper (dreverettpiper.com, @dreverettpiper), a columnist for The Washington Times, is a former university president and radio host.
