Recently, a fellow Marine, Colonel Doug Krugman, shared why he resigned from the military — because he could no longer swear to follow a commander in chief who violates the Constitution.

That hit me hard.

I took that same oath. I served in Afghanistan. And like Colonel Krugman, I believe our allegiance should always be to the Constitution — not to any one man.

Donald Trump is once again testing the limits of presidential power, threatening to use our troops against American citizens and calling political opponents “enemies from within.” That’s not leadership — it’s a betrayal of the democracy we fought for.

I’m running for Congress because our democracy needs people who will honor their oath — who will put duty above politics and country above self.
